Between 1955-1957 the average electric bill for the church was 2 dollars
The church parking lot was first graveled on 8/4/59.
It took 45 ton @ 2.25 per ton delivered.
It cost $110.25, and took 5 trucks to deliver.
The church built a coal house in 1954. Coal used to be piled outside, before it was built.
A ton of coal was delivered in October of 1959. The cost was 9 dollars.
The property the church sits on was deeded from Carrie and Charles Triplett on 6/25/1934
The lot was deeded to trustees; Andy Tolliver, Charles Messer, Virgil Houck, HW Gollihue, and Jack Bellamy
Earl Greer borrowed a dozer from Ben Burchett, and dozed areas in which Sunday School rooms were built.
Earl Greer had a sawmill on some property that he owned, in which he and Watt sawed the lumber which was to become the foundation of the Sunday School rooms.
Earl, Watt, and Virgil Rogers sought help for the poor road conditions from the county judge, since it is a county road.
Florence Sammons raised money through donations to buy the church a "pot-belly" stove. Interestingly, the pot-belly stove, had the name "Florence" engraved.
Through the years, the church has had several cosmetic changes. At one point it had a tin roof, which is now shingled. It has also been painted numerous times, and currently has siding.
